Best Bose Soundsport Earbuds Review in 2022

If you’re searching for wireless earbuds that are both easy to use and function well, go no further than the Bose Soundsport Earbuds.

These buds are a little thick, but they’re fantastic for working out or simply hanging out.

The Bose SoundSport headphones are a good compromise between wired and truly wireless earphones.

The in-ear modules are connected through a cable that sits behind your head, although they are otherwise Bluetooth-enabled.

They also have Bose’s distinctive audio quality, making them an excellent pair of earbuds for working out or unwinding at home.

Bose Soundsport Earbuds: Design

The Bose Soundsport Earbuds are among the most substantial Bluetooth headphones. They weigh 0.8 ounces, which is significantly more than the 0.5-ounce Under Armour JBL Wireless Headphones.

Each bud protrudes quite far, which made me nervous that they’d fly out of my ears if I moved. They stayed put, much to my relief, even during runs.

The buds stayed in place no matter what thanks to a little silicone winglet that fits the inner curve of your ear. Bose also supplies two different-sized wings to accommodate various ear sizes.

Bose’s earbuds were more pleasant to wear than JBL’s, which felt significantly tighter in my ear regardless of which inserts I used.

A wire connects each bud and contains in-line controls for raising and lowering the volume, as well as playing, pausing, and advancing songs.

If your Soundsport is linked to an iPhone, you can activate Siri by pushing and holding the center button on the controller.

A small clip on the wire, which I clipped into my collar to ensure that even if the buds burst out, they wouldn’t go too far, was another minor but reassuring feature.

When I tilted my head to the right or left, I discovered that the clip helped keep the wire from sticking on my neck.

Performance: Bose Soundsport Earbuds

I put the Bose Soundsport  Earbuds through its paces in two different circumstances.

The first emulated how I would use it on a regular basis: when connected to my iPhone 6s, strolling about with the phone in my pocket.

After that, I went for a run with the Soundsport attached to a Samsung Gear Fit 2 (worn on my left wrist).

The Soundsport kept a constant connection with my Mobile no matter what. Even when I tilted my head to either side, there were no drops or glitches in the music.

When rotated my head to the right, the Under Armour JBL Wireless Headphones would start skipping, and the Motorola Verve Ones+ would cut out no matter what I was doing.

The Soundsport would occasionally skip during a run, but only once per few minutes, and the sound would return within a second.

Despite the fact that the Soundsport is sweat-resistant, some customers have complained that the headphones ceased working when they were exposed to “heavy sweat.”

I went for a sweaty run with the Soundsport and didn’t have the same problem. Bose, on the other hand, has identified the issue and will replace any earbuds that have been damaged due to excessive sweating.

The audio quality was great, as one would expect from a Bose device. Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” had a thundering bass sound that helped me retain my pace without being too loud in the low end.

The audio profile, like that of other Bose soundsport earbuds headphones, is balanced, so you won’t hear the overdone bass that many other headphones have.

Battery: the life of Bose Soundsport Earbuds

The built-in battery in the Soundsports should last up to 6 hours, which is two hours longer than the Jaybird Freedom but two hours less than the Under Armour JBL headphones.

Should you spend the extra $100?

If great noise canceling is what you’re looking for — or you just want the flexibility of having it. Don’t hesitate to invest the extra money on the Quiet Comfort Earbuds, as I said in my review.

However, if you don’t want active noise cancellation or find it irritating the Sport Earbuds provide outstanding sound and a nice, secure fit.

With all of the new truly wireless models on the market, I believe Bose will eventually have to lower the price (to around $150) to make them more competitive.

Is there a microphone on the Bose SoundSport Earbuds?

Yes. An inbuilt microphone on the SoundSport wireless headphones allows you to take calls from your smartphone.

The headphones will operate with numerous programs that use Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), such as Skype or FaceTime, in addition to regular calls.

Is it possible to converse on the phone while using Bose earbuds?

Your Bose product has the ability to answer, end, and regulate phone calls. This allows you to make phone calls without having to use your mobile device’s controls.

Are Bose Soundsport Earbuds Good?

The Positive. The Bose SoundSport In-Ear headphones are secure, comfy, and sweat-resistant, with an appealing “open” appearance.

They also come with an integrated remote and microphone, as well as a convenient carrying case.

Are Bose sport earphones comfortable to wear?

The bass and highs are both sculpted and tuned up in terms of audio, which should appeal to people who are inspired by deep bass when exercising.

The in-canal seal stays in place thanks to the StayHear Max ear tips, and there’s no doubting you receive a secure fit.

When it comes to Bose earphones, how long do they last?

Under normal use, Bose predicts that the earbuds’ batteries would last roughly 5,000 hours of playback. While keeping at least 80% of their capacity, which equates to more than 208 days of continuous listening.

Review of the Bose Soundsport Earbuds

Despite their size, the Bose Soundsport Earbuds are easy to wear and provide clear, usually uninterrupted audio whether you’re on the go or at your desk.

They’re also not much more expensive than competitors like the Jaybird Tarah Pro, at $129, making this Bose product competitive in more ways than one.

What distinguishes it as the best? Solidly, it’s quite comfortable to wear, it sounds excellent, it appears to be well built, and it’s not unreasonably cheap at $150, £140, or AU$249, either.
